Main Profile Structures

  • Structure AB: Structure AB is a bedrock-cut chamber at Karahan Tepe with a small descent opening, stairs, a carved human head, phallic pillars, a serpentine channel, and evidence for deliberate filling.
  • Structure AD: Structure AD is the large central communal building at Karahan Tepe, with a 23 m internal diameter, two-step benches, wall pillars, paired central pillars, deep pits, and evidence for deliberate closure.
  • Structure AA: Structure AA is a shallow bedrock-cut room at Karahan Tepe with a long west bench, steps, small pits, a snake engraving, a fox engraving, a niche, and fill-cover evidence.
  • Structure BF: Structure BF is a reported small public or special building beside Structure AD, known for T-shaped pillars, stone vessels and plates, animal figurines, selected animal remains, burned skulls, and fire features.
  • Structure BD: Structure BD is reported as a large rectangular Western Terrace building with continuous benches, twelve T-shaped pillars, four collapsed central pillars, sculpture associations, and nearby everyday-work evidence.
  • Structure BH: Structure BH is reported as a well-preserved rectilinear building beside BD, with high walls, two-tier benches, broken T-shaped pillars, burning traces, and a north-wall vessel, platform, and channel.

Deeper Structure Leads

  • Structure AC: Structure AC is a small covered bedrock structure about 20 m northeast of the AA/AB/AD complex. In Karul 2021, its boundary was defined, but its inner fill was not yet fully published.
  • Structure AZ: Structure AZ is reported as a domestic building on Karahan Tepe's Western Terrace, with stone paving, plastered benches, grinding stones, T-shaped pillars, and a human-faced T-shaped pillar announced in 2025.
  • Structure AO: Structure AO is reported as a small room around Structure AD, with a stone-paved floor, grinding-related stones, a phallic-shaped grinding tool, and a floor slab showing a running wild donkey.

Use this page as the orientation layer. The six main structures are ready for the public profile. The deeper leads stay visible, but plans, loci, object numbers, and image rights still need stronger support before they become first-view pages.
